The President appointed Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed as the new Director-General of the NIA. Additionally, Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi has been appointed as the new Director-General of the DSS, replacing Yusuf Magaji Bichi.

The President also extended his gratitude to the outgoing Directors-General for their service and wished them success in their future endeavors.

It is worth noting that the former NIA Director-General, Ahmed Abubakar, resigned on Saturday, citing personal and family reasons. He expressed his appreciation to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve for 15 months under the current administration, having held the position since 2018. Despite his resignation, Abubakar assured that he would continue to remain engaged with issues related to the nation’s security.
