Security Guard Loses Firearm to Sex Worker Over Unpaid Services Near Bank

In a recent incident near a local bank, a 27-year-old security guard, Evidence Mangonono, found himself in a legal tangle after failing to pay a sex worker for her services. The matter was taken to the Mutoko Magistrates Court, where Magistrate Chiedza Gatsi presided.

According to prosecution led by Nathan Majuru, the incident unfolded on January 7 when Mangonono, accompanied by colleagues, consumed sex-enhancing herbs. Subsequently, Mangonono discreetly engaged the services of a sex worker known as Choice at the rear side of the bank where he worked.

Trouble arose when Mangonono couldn't meet his financial obligations to Choice, leading her to take possession of his service pistol as collateral for the unpaid transaction. The situation intensified when Mangonono's employer discovered the missing firearm and promptly reported the incident to the police.

In an effort to resolve the issue, Mangonono compensated Choice to recover the misplaced firearm. Magistrate Gatsby delivered a one-year prison sentence to Mangonono with a conditional suspension. As part of the suspension terms, Mangonono is mandated to complete 325 hours of community service at Hurungwe Primary School in Murewa, Zimbabwe.
